Proverbs 3: 1-2 & 9-10
A Bit of Wisdom On Money
From Proverbs 3:1-2, (NIV), "My Son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in you heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity."
and
From Proverbs 3:9-10, (NIV), "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and you vats will brim over with new wine."
A bit of wisdom about following the teachings of the Word of God and honoring Him with a tenth of all you earn before allocating the other 90%. Not an easy task, especially when times get a little hard. The lesson does work however. The more we sacrifice, the more it works. The tenth does not necessarily have to go to a church but any worthwhile cause that is in line with the teachings of the Word. The main thing to remember is to give as giving unto the Lord, because that is what we are doing.
